This heart warming comedy which was originally commissioned by Alan
Ayckbourn for his theatre restaurant and then transferred to London was
described at the time as ‘a perfectly formed gem of miniaturised theatre’.
The play takes place in an Italian restaurant where Mike and Jenny meet for
a life changing meal. It’s as if we in the audience, sitting at our separate tables,
are eavesdropping. Who are they? What is their relationship?
The British Actors’ Group is a professional company which travels light,
focusing on performance rather than production. The actors and director
have worked for the NT, the RSC, in the West End and on television.
Sarah Phelps is best known for her television credits including Oliver Twist
for the BBC and as a regular writer for EastEnders.
The Amaretti Angels are coming to the Dulwich Woodhouse on Saturday 25th September.
Tickets are £35 per head and include 3 course Italian set menu before watching the performance.
